This is a classic story of bride turned friend…
Melissa and Cameron were probably one of the busiest couples I have met to date. There was no doubt in their mind or my mind that they needed a wedding planner. So when I had the opportunity to meet with Melissa and become her wedding planner, it made me so excited.
There were several qualities that I love about Melissa as a friend and as a bride. 1. She knows what she wants 2. Family means the world to her 3. She may be short but can pack a punch and 4. Marrying Cameron would be one of the best decisions she has ever made.
When Melissa and Cameron first became clients, they were tossing the idea around of several venues and on a whim I saw a grand opening of one downtown, I went to visit and it was perfect. The next day I took Melissa and Cameron there and well they booked that venue; it was the perfect choice for their navy, blush, gold and Great Gatsby wedding. Hello 1899!
It wasn’t long until business meetings, phone calls and coffee turned into us chatting about our lives, our interests and hobbies. Melissa and Cameron were becoming pals and the sweetest ones. It was always a joy to be around both of them and their passion and love for each other was evident. So after a year and half of planning the big day came and it was flawless. Melissa was the most laid back and beautiful bride and Cameron just wanted to be in Melissa’s arms. I have to say I miss talking to them on a regular basis but I always know that there is a nearby nail salon and a Portillo’s chocolate cake that will bring us back together.
